Extraordinary Eggs is about looking at different eggs and how they are extraordinary. The story requires the children to use their knowledge about colors to complete the interactive component part of the story. Extraordinary Eggs also introduces the letter Ee within its context.
The Healthy Food Story is about different foods that take on human characteristics. They tell the children how they will help them. The children must find the family they belong to. A great learning opportunity!
The story Colorful Food has been added as a bonus story to further assist in meeting curriculum expectations. The children are required to color the food as directed in the print. A great review on colors and identifying color words for older children.
Reading - The stories repetitive enough to allow kindergarten and preschool children to read them on their own after they have been introduced as a shared reading experience. This serves as a powerful method for young children to not only gain a better understanding of the reading process but also gaining a positive attitude towards it by having them experience reading the story on their own (pretend reading) and the pride of completing the book (interactive component).
