Two repetitive stories Ollie, Ollie Octopus and Five Fish. The stories introduce the letters Oo and Ff within their context.The story Ollie Octopus is about an octopus that informs the boy in the story about what sea creatures live in the ocean. Five Fish is about scuba divers seeing five fish and describes their colors. This story requires the children to color the fish as described. It reinforces their knowledge about colors.
Reading - The stories are repetitive enough to allow kindergarten and preschool children to read them on their own after they have been introduced as a shared reading experience. This serves as a powerful method for young children to not only gain a better understanding of the reading process but also gaining a positive attitude towards it by having them experience reading the story on their own (pretend reading) and the pride of completing the book (interactive component).
