Music Integrated Into Kindergarten and Preschool Lesson Plans

Members and newsletters subscribers have often commented how they would like to see more songs added to the Early Learning Solutions Program.  Songs have been added to the website in response to these comments.  Many of the songs have been compiled to be used in conjunction with the stories in the program, however, these songs can be successfully used even if you are not a member.  The songs are theme-based and sung using familiar tunes.

CD to Accompany the Emergent Readers in the Alphabet Program

The alphabet action CD used along with the alphabet emergent readers found in the "Alphabet Theme" package are powerful tools to teach the alphabet and beginning reading skills.  The children will really enjoy singing the songs and participating in the actions that reinforce the letter sounds that they have learned.  The songs are related to the emergent readers found in the focus themes included in the "Alphabet Program".  The songs also help teach other concepts such as fast/ slow, up/down and left/right.

The sample song below "At the Zoo" reinforces the letter "Zz" and is taught in conjunction with the emergent reader "Zoo Escape" which is a simple retelling of the book "Good Night Gorilla."
