Graduation Time Capsule

Not To Be Opened Until Completion of High School

1. collect tube containers (a pringle chips container was used in this photo)

2. collect memory activities that the children would like to include in their capsules (signatures and pictures of friends, a picture they drew or painted or a writing activity)

3. Children decorate a piece of paper and wrap it around or use construction paper

Idea: Parents could help the children fill their capsule on graduation day. Together fill out the following information:

My friends are____________________________

The funniest things that happened were____________________

I really liked it when_________________________

Explain to the children that these are time capsules and must not be opened until completion of high school. They must be stored in a safe place and if they should move the capsules go with them. This will serve as a memory of their preschool or kindergarten days .

Teacher adds the correct information and then makes a copy for each child
children can color and then cut the both rectangles
fold a piece of paper in half
children glue the the rectangle on the appropriate places on the folded paper that makes the card
