Kinderplans Alphabet Sight Word Readers
Sight words should not be introduced in isolation of text and meaning. The alphabet and sight word readers found within the "Alphabet Program" were designed to be used to teach skills, the alphabet sounds and sight words. All the pre-primer words and a some primer words have been introduced within the readers (not in the order displayed in the list). It was a huge undertaking to integrate the themes and sequentially introduce the alphabet, printing and sight words in a systematic meaningful order. More information on the program can be found in the link below;

Sight Word Games and Activities
It can be a challenge to find engaging and fun activities to assist students in practicing their sight words. We have outlined a few. You will find more suggestions within the member's site.
Spin the Top Sight Word Partner Game
The sight words would be printed on an octagon shape and placed in a container so the top does not roll out. Each partner takes a turn spinning the top. It the

Sight Word Partner Board Game
The game board below would have the focus sight word or words printed on it. Each player takes a turn rolling a die. Each time a player lands on the focus sight word(s) they would say the word and mark this off on their game chart. The first person to have their game chart completed would be the winner.
